Bahia Gov’t Confisicates Anti-Candomble Book

The state of Bahia in Brazil has confiscated all copies of the book "Yes, Yes! No, No! Reflections on Healing and Liberation" on the grounds that it makes false and prejudicial statements about the Afro-Brazilian religions of Candomble and Umbanda, and incites readers to destroy their objects of worship in the name of Catholicism.

Witch Hunting in Kenya – European/Arab Legacy

Wherever Christianity and Islam go an intolerance for indigenous practices follow. Ironically enough Europeans and Arabs and their converted masses attack the devotees of traditional religions under the pretense of cultural purity, while supplanting the indigenous beliefs with foreign ones. In Africa, witch hunting has become a deadly practice that is not rooted in disciplining spiritually immoral individuals, but simply as a measure to destroy traditional African religion.

Neighbors that have shunned off traditional beliefs (in favor of Christianity and Islam) ban together and kill women, including the eldery. They point to the power of witches, a common and undisputed fact in Africa, as a reason for this mass and unwarranted killings. But they never provide solid proof of any equal action or immoral act taken by witches. When have African witches ever killed 10, 20, 30 people in a single day and burned down the homes of their families?

Women have always been recognized as powerful in African culture. That spiritual power was considered a balancing force that guaranteed them equality – just as men have spiritual means to protect their own rights. Now, as Arabic and European sexism grows in Africa as well as self-loathing, people are attacking their own – hoping in vain to do the impossible – wash away their OWN Africanity.

Even adopting the term “witch” to describe the naturally GOD given spiritual power inherent in women, in particular elders, is anti-African. They women are not monsters. They are not strangers. They are our mothers, sisters and daughters. If on occasion they use their Power is usually to right a trangression. They are not obsessed with ruining the lives of others as non-traditionalists claim.

This is part and parcel of the European and Arabic theme of disrespecting and enslaving women. It’s now being passed wherever Black women reside.

Watch this video as a “Witch Expert” attempted, unsuccessfully, to provide an “unbiased” analysis of witch hunting. He can barely disguise that he is in favor of such actions.
