Naana Kabuki Moore's

Editor's Note: This page was originally hosted @ Oberlin College some years ago. After the page went down it was then archived. The author of this page is Naana Kabuki. The photographs were not saved. I have done what I could to replace those images with others on the internet. But some replacement photographs were hard to find. I was however able to save the text in its entirety, is which invalauble. If the author is out there, please contact me!

Welcome to my homepage: I couldn't quite decide how I wanted to present myself initailly on the Internet but I soon decided that I wanted to show you some photographs of the harrowing forts and castles along our Ghanaian coastline; and share some of the interesting articles that I found on the 'Net.

The photos were taken during my Christmas holidays. I spent the last week of December and practically all of January travelling around the West Coast of Ghana with a friend of mine, Rachel Ghoston and my father. We studied and visited the forts and castles of Ghana that played a major role in the Transatlantic Slave Trade. A friend and I individually wrote about out impressions. It has proved to be very difficult to include the footnotes, which were a part of the research document that is presented here, so I formally apologize. For those interested: the resource list

Thanks for taking an interest and looking through my page. I hope you enjoyed it.
