America We don't want your Blood Money! We Want Assata Shakur!
The U.S. Gov’t Persecutes Those That Challenge Hypocrisy and Evil
The United States federal and state governments have always maintained an antagonistic, biased and racist position towards people of color that wish to expose and reform elements within the economic, political, social and cultural elements that make up the illegal and amoral foundation of America. It also comes as no surprise that even when they have us cornered they would prefer to crush us in totality, rather than relish in the fact that they oppressive tactics have seriously altered our lives.
Going to Far, As Usual
So, it comes as no surprise the New Jersey State Police, U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Congress continue to threaten the freedom of Assata Shakur, the famed Black Panther and Black Liberation Army affiliate that was falsely accused and convicted of killing a New Jersey State Trooper in 1973. In 1979, Assata was freed from prison by fellow activists and found refuge in Cuba, where she is comfortable, but essentially trapped. Even though she has no freedom of travel, and returning the U.S. to see her family will probably never happen, they continue to be obsessed with capturing her, rather than be honest about the government's illegal and evil activities towards black nationalists in the 60s, 70s and 80s. These activities have led to the assassination, imprisonment, and defamation of many ordinary citizens like yourself that merely stood up to say “enough is enough” when faced with the reality that America is an imperialist machine bent on control and manipulation not only of its own citizens, but those of other nations.
Do Not Accept Blood Money
The U.S. Department of Justice recently announced a $1 million award for information leading to Assata's whereabouts in Cuba and her capture. We are begging our Cuban brothers and sisters to REFUSE to engage in the evil actions of American government by playing a role in the arrest or any future imprisonment of Assata. We asking the citizens of Cuba and other Caribbean nations to "SPIT in the face of the U.S. government" by turning their backs on this offer and any other that might follow.
Government officials, local politicians, citizens, underworld figures - whomever you are - recognize that your involvement in the capture of Assata will not improve the relationship that you have with America. The U.S. government has no intentions of sharing power in the western hemisphere, improving the conditions of your countries or supporting YOUR own national goals.
Remember that the economic sanctions that hurt the Cuban economy are the doing of America.
These sanctions have impacted every aspect of your life and have cast an unfair shadow on the
national image of Cuba. You are a victim of America’s rough handling as much as Assata. Do not trade her in for paper money. Do not trade her in knowing that she will could spend the rest of her life in prison for simply challenging the racist and illegal political activities of America. Do not trade her in knowing that she is the hope of millions of people around the world. She stands for freedom. She awakens our fire to challenge establishment as well. Please do not betray our sister, mother, friend and comrade.
Spiritual Protection of Assata
Lastly, we are pleading with ALL indigenous temples and spiritual houses around the world to divine and perform spiritual ritual with the Orisa, Abosum, Loa, Neteru, etc that you work with, in order to stall, stop and complicate the efforts of the U.S. government to capture Assata.
Please do NOT delay, make time to see how your spiritual community can ritualize freedom and victory for Assata and others!
