Roots and Rooted

As many of you know, Haiti was hit by a magnitude-7 Earthquake on Jan. 13, 2010. Tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, are dead. Schools, homes, hospitals, churches, temples, government buildings – were destroyed throughout the tiny nation that gave us Toussaint L’ouverture. We are asking all traditionalists, from around the world to join us in prayer and action.

Our Pay Pal account was set up incorrectly. We didn’t want to slow anyone down, so we decided to send all monies ($60) back to site members. BUT – please take your pledges and send them to the following organizations:

Spiritual Vigil

Please join us our spiritual effort by pouring libation, praying, meditating and performing ritual on behalf of Haiti every night @ 7pm eastern time. For the next 3 days. (Jan 14-16)

Western Religious Groups – No!

No monies will be used to support Christian or Islamic missionary groups operating within Haiti. We will also refrain from supporting most mainstream quasi-public agencies, like the Red Cross.
